When I left Ste: Croix I was in expectation of passing this winter in Copenhagen, but a long and boisterous passage, and the lateness of the season have prevented me from proceeding further. I cannot omit in the meantime to give you a line, to enquire how yourself and Family are, as I can hear no account of you here —- Mr. White the Bookseller is the only person I believe with whom you correspond, and he has been some time without any letters from you. He not long ago wished to send you some Books, but lamented he could find no opportunity.
