Dear Sir,
London March 18 1798
I have received your two letters, the last of them of the 3d. Instant about a Week ago, I would have answered you sooner had I not been indisposed. I now write principally to acknowledge the receipt of favours to deat and welcome to me, tho I am unable to give you any account of the commissions contained in them, Sir Joseph Banks having been laid up with a severed fit of the Gout, Mr: Lambert being absent from town, & my own indisposition are the reasons.
